A new campaign is under way to send messages and videos to the men and women of the British Army serving all over the world. If you would like to send a message, then go here To The Best
I saw it earlier today - I thought that it was quite good. Makes a difference from just hearing about Iraq and Afghanistan. Roxy
Would be particularly heartfelt by those doing a good job but not getting any recognition - particularly the peacekeepers.
I remember back in 1982, in Belize, the Daily Mirror started a similar campaign for the Falklands and someone wrote in about us lot in Belize. They just dumped sacks of replies into each section and we crabbed a handful to write to. it was fun! I started to write to one female and after a few lewtters she dropped me a photo, it was of her doing something while she read my letter! I could not post it on this forum as children might be reading it! Bill Lornie, a mate of mine, wrote to one lady and he got a reply dated the Monday calling him "Dear Bill", the one on Tuesday read "Dear Darling Bill" on Wednesday it was "My dearest darling bill" and on Friday it began, "I think of you as I lie here in bed". He did go and stay with her on his disembarkation leave in Birmingham! So, I think that I will give it go!
