I'm all for equal opportunities, and I think reasonable adjustments could be made for the job. How about bells on the aircraft like in footballs for people with visual impairments?

or we could teach the guide dog to bark in code for different aircraft

Aren't dogs colour blind? If so then I think it would be discrimination to employ them when colour blind humans aren't allowed to become controllers

Yes, dogs are colour blind so probably best to employ a parrot (birds see in colour) that can talk and tell the controller what's going on. Of course, you could also get male peacocks to act as marshallers.

If the parrot got fired for chewing cables etc, it would be an ex-parrot...

that parrot is not an ex-parrot, it is merely very relaxed

got a doozy of one today, reading through the job description for a Countryside Ranger, which is a manually heavy job and requires fitness. Last bit in the desirable section of the job description: "Physically capable of doing the job".

Oooooooooooooookay. so its only desirable you can do the job. right.
