SNOPES once again gets it right, this is false It was not Flemings wonder drug, he after discovering the mould that would become penicillin dropped the stuff from his work, as everyone knows the Australian Howard Florey along with colleges spent several years on researching this mould and created penicillin. So I would just place that story as a good news story written on the net. A story to help rewrite the true history about penicillin.
