Winston's dad, Randolph Churchill, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, gave Alexander Fleming (a poor Scottish farm boy the money to go to medical school) Alexander Fleming saved Winston Churchill's life a second time in 1941 when Churchill was inspecting the British troops in North Africa and had come down with pneumonia. Alexander Fleming showed up with his new wonder drug .. Penicillin. snopes.com: Alexander Fleming's Father and Winston Churchill

SNOPES once again gets it right, this is false It was not Flemings wonder drug, he after discovering the mould that would become penicillin dropped the stuff from his work, as everyone knows the Australian Howard Florey along with colleges spent several years on researching this mould and created penicillin. So I would just place that story as a good news story written on the net. A story to help rewrite the true history about penicillin.
