At the risk of upsetting Kyt, I just wanted to congratulate the members north of the border on their well deserved win today! A toast to you guys and a wee tot to drown our sorrows down here. The conditions were awful and it took me back to my son's rugby playing days. I was extremely glad that it wasn't me who had those fifteen strips to wash.
Nana, as I haven't a foggiest of what your talking about, I can't get upset :becky: But I assume that it involved some sort of ball, and the Scots actually won. So congratulations to Scotland for whatever it is that you won. :clapping:
Oooh i could hear the surprise in your post. I'm not sure which was the most important, losing the wooden spoon or beating England!! ok I think I know the answer!!!!
A wee tot? Find it hard to believe they'll drink in apparent moderation. Guess it depends on how big the tot is. Hugh's probably paralytic as we speak. Washing strips? Perhaps that's why Scotland won? Who would want to tackle a naked Scot's, um, tackle...eep:
Now that you come to mention it, the higlanders used to throw off their Pilimores or great kilts and enter the battle naked! :Booty::Booty: But the boys did us proud yesterday and it shows that they can still rise to the occasion when facing the auld enemy!
We won the Calcutta Cup! If you are going to stop the rot what better way than to beat England. Yes, had a wee dram in celebration but kept my kit/kilt on! Nana, noble and gracious in defeat - an example to us all. A toast - to more Scottish sporting victories. Regards Hugh
