The Western Front Association was established in 1980 by military historian John Giles. It is concerned with the stud, research and organisation of activities relating to the history of the First World War 1914-1918. Its website provides information on the aims and activities of the society. It includes information about its publications, plus book reviews of materials relating to the Great war, calendars of events, some online articles and an online map room with digital images of WWW1 battlefields and trenches.
