Actually rather hot - he needed a fire-proof suit because of the proximity of the engines! There's a lot that could go wrong - if one of the four engines failed to light up it would be uncontrollable. And being able to control it by slight movements of your body would make it unsuitable for popular use - only an experienced skydiver would have that degree of control. But for all those reasons - an amazing and courageous feat, in the spirit of the early pioneers.
