Gareth Davies, William Avon played for Wales Internationals: 2: 1912 S+ I- (1t) William Davies was born on 27 December 1890 in Aberavon Played as a Centre for: Port Talbot CS, Exeter University, Aberavon, Plymouth, Devon Profession: Schoolmaster Remarks: Joined the Rugby League (Leeds RLFC) in 1913, later Keighley RLFC. War service: Perhaps Royal Navy, his rank is shown as Writer in a newspaper article discussing his playing for a Welsh XV v the New Zealand Army in December 1918. He died on 18 September 1967 at Exeter.
Continuing the work 1911-1920 I have no idea of names on these photos .... but he's one of the faces !! ( I think ) and I can't make them any bigger !!
