Women's uniform - identify please

    Here's a photo of my aunt age 20 in Oct 1943.
    I think she may have been on ground duties at RAF Leuchars, Fife.
    Can anyone identify her uniform please?

    Hi edwinnie,

    Your Aunt is iv'er in the Royal Artillery or Royal Engineers I would go towards the RA by the look of the uniform.
    The
    badge she is wearing on her left near her collar can be seen below

    Also she looks like she was a bombardier.

    You say she was on an RAF Base, the RAF regiment was formed on the 1st Feb 1942 to defend the airfields, but alot of Ack Ack Battery, Royal Artillery Regiment, were used especially by the W R A and moved around the country defending cities from air raids by the Luftwaffe as well as the Airfields.

    Haven't been able to find any war record yet.
