    Only a few hours drive from home and on the aptly named Shipwreck Coast.

    First RAN craft and first US Ship sunk in WW2
    20th November 1940

    HMAS Goorangai chopped in two by Troopship M.V. Duntroon. Small Mine Sweeper first RAN ship lost in WW2

    7/8th November 1940

    City of Rayville, an American freighter off Cape Otway (Victoria), the first US ship to be sunk in WW2.
