I am retiring as of March 31/2010 and am looking for an adult summer school university/college course in England (preferably in the London area but not a deal breaker) to study WWII history.
Any suggestions, advice, contacts, etc. would be very much appreciated.

By the way...Oxford University offers a course but it is age restricted (16 to 21)...sub-joined is the response I received.

"I am sorry but we aren't aware of other courses offering a similar
program of study, however we do get speculative emails like yours every now and
again, so if there are a few other adults who are interested then we may
be able to offer an adult course separate from the 16+ courses we offer
    at
    the moment.

I will keep you aware of any changes and in the meantime good luck with
    the search!"

If anyone is interested, please let me know.

any uni that does a history course, or modern political history may offer ww2 as part of its modules, but its a case of finding the course site then checking the modules Of course as your independant study in year 3 is upto you, you can also do that based on ww2.
