The charge to retailers goes to Mastercard/Visa as does forgeign usage charges! We only see a very small percentage of it. The late charges make money as does int and the fact the quickest you can get money to you account is three days, unless you want to pay 25 quid to your bank for a CHAPS payment
You would be right, I am now the head of asset management, or repossessions if thats easier oster_oops:
The door to the washing machine (2 years old) wouldn't shut unless you held it until its locking mechanism clicked into place. I therefore could not set the timer to come on during the night. The handle to the freezer door (only just a year old) also came off in my hand. Not a problem they are covered by an extended warranty! I rang, gave the model numbers and explained that I didn't know whether it was the door or the corresponding part on the washing machine itself - one week for the engineer to come. Different engineer to come and screw a new handle to the freezer (told them to post it, think I can manage that)! Washing Machine engineer came this morning, wrong door for wrong machine and no bit for the machine. He said to treat the machine with great care!!! He will order the necessary parts and they will ring me when they arrive and an engineer is available. Why does it always happen before a holiday???
Strewth that sounds like a real pain. But the wrong parts/late engineer/long delays seems typical. Two years ago the controller knob on my gas fire broke (3 weeks before christmas) and I had exactly same issues you have with delays and wrong parts. And with no heat I nearly froze to death. Luckily my flat is open plan and I could turn the oven on full whack, with the door open. Fingers crossed it gets sorted, Nana.
Try all electricity failing in the house, it took nearly 2 weeks for the sparks to track down the fault.
Sounds like the changing of the famous Fairy Penguins of Philip Island down Spidge's way to Little Penguins. Pathetic really. Believe it or not, the pamphlets haven't been reprinted, they've apparently scribbled out the "Fairy" and replaced it with "Little".
I hate to disagree. I abhor censorship and live in hope that our own standards will be sufficient. I hate to hear kids singing songs containing horrible words sometimes (but not always) not having a clue what they mean. I think we have all witnessed the chicken and egg of more common usage = more acceptable = more common usage. p.s. When did I start becoming more and more like "Disgusted of Orpington"?
This is from Vic Hallam who has been talking to historians who have helped with the pre-film stuff. Nigger will have his real name: as they said it is an historical fact and they do not intend to rewrite history. And I believe the son of the original composer has given permission to use the Dambusters march. Of course I am waiting to be proven correct or not
Lets face it he's just a character. RAVE: 2 beautiful aviation prints by Postelthwaite arrived today. Each of them carrying 4 pilot signatures, of which most are BoB pilots, now sadly not with us. RANT: Got to hand them over to my brothers next Tuesday. Bugger.
