I haven't promised anything. I am not qualified to give opinions on your Kratzchen and have suggested the best way to get the most qualified opinion I know.

I do not wish to give my email out and photos can be posted here, or WAF. I am unsure of what you are saying with changing anything however. As for Beavers book I am sorry but I won't take your word for it that the one you possess is that one. Hence photos are required. It's too bad you won't do the right thing and offer the Kepi for $225 as a reproduction item to anyone else.

 

You Misunderstand...the book just pictures fro the time with soldiers wearing the hat, it's NOT the hat. I said I will change the Kepi to a repro at 225.00, but can;t figure out how!

 

Ah, I see. Some clarity is nice. I would be prepared for bad news. I know of one real one in existence. And I'd imagine its expensive as hell.

I do not know how to change a title so please feel free to make a new listing as I have a funny feeling the mods / admins of this site will be doing some deleting in the morning.

Re your Kratzchen can be posted to Tony or in this forum as WAF appears no longer to be an option.

Thank you and really? Myself and others from WAF helped you recoup $2700 from KB. I am not looking for quid pro quo. All I was doing here was merely trying to stop someone else from losing their shorts.

Some free advice. Asking $5000 for an SS Kratzchen you are not sure is real is not the best foot forward. What is cxl?

Question, why do you not go back to the seller of the Kepi (and other bad items) and get a refund?

 

Cxl is short for cancel. I have not decided how to list the Kratzchen...I don't want the mounties tracking me again. I did finally get in touch with the guy I got all the stuff from, but it's too long a story to relate here.

 

Listing militaria for $5000 that your unsure if its real, and knowing the other caps are worse than Chinese copies and your lack of experience in these matters, I'd take the over/under bet without seeing it that it's bad. Given an SS Kratzchen is perhaps the rarest piece of SS Headgear there is and the plethora of fakes that abound, it would be a safe bet.

I'd still get an informed opinion so perhaps you can chase another refund. The guy who sold you these (fake) items, did that include the DD SS helmet with German Cross in Gold that was listed on WAF that started this sorry state of affairs? Care to name him? You had no problem naming Ken on WAF. I'd be interested to know whose peddling this junk.

As for the Mounties they have little time to chase Americans selling bad militaria and their charter doesn't extend across the border.

Did the seller also sell you the DD SS?

I'm unsure if you remember but as I said several times last night, I prefer to keep my email private and me looking at your Kratzchen would be akin to me reading hieroglyphics. I have no expertise on either, therefore it would be a waste of my time, much like this conversation at this point.
