Getting to be a bit warm here in Alabama. High in the high 80's and humid, low {in the middle of the night} in the 70's.
Same old, same old in the North West of the UK ... last few days have been wind, rain and sunny spells ... No warmth as yet. Just got home off a night shift. Winds dropped and rain has stopped, overcast ... I'm in the wrong hemisphere for weather
Seems like summer has come early 91 as I type. Also today is first day of Hurricane Season, I hope it is as quiet as it was last year.
As the motto goes " QUEENSLAND - beautiful one day and perfect the next " Sun shining and blue sky and the whales are now here in the bay. :bathbaby:
It's too damn hot! I can't cope at 24C. And I know thats nothing to most of you, but I'm used to cold and wet. I'm acclimatised to cold and wet. Grrr at least its given the rain to move back in.
Rain here since we got back on Sunday morning from our trip to NSW. Overflow tank is now overflowing into the dam so our tanks are nice and full. Bloody cold though. No snow other than in the highlands but maximum is set for 11C today. Have got the fire going already to get the washing dry!
It is in the low 90's here in Oklahoma..hot,,humid,,muggy..chance of storms through tonite and tomorrow...hope so,,allergies are going nuts at the moment...:crutch:
For the first time in ages in my area of inner Melbourne their has been rain for several days. After coming into i think our 16th year of official drought, this rain is sorely needed. It's the kind of rain that hangs around for days, (what was once traditional for Melbourne), with some heavy falls but many light falls of rain enough to soak the ground and increase the ground water table which has lowered much over past 15+ years. Still here in Victoria we need well above average rain falls each month for a year or so as reservoirs are only at 27 or 29 percent. Temps are low as well, it is winter in Vic and it gets cold, around 15 celsius or so, however we have many days where their is cloud that looks like rain yet we here seem to miss out most times.
Today at 1845 hrs its 97 degrees. I think sometime in the future (when the Mrs. retires) we will spend the summers in the UK.
Not so much wet and cold, I don't like hot and humid which is what we have now and will have for the next three months.
