Just finished Freedom From Fear by Donald Kennedy. I liked the exploration he made into the New Deal and Roosevelt's lack of a real plan. The WWII stuff was not that great, but it did reveal some new information I had not seen before. Overall a very good book, especially the first half.
Working Sam Wineburg's Historical Thinking and Other Unnatural Acts: Charting the Future of Teaching the Past. Interesting book so far.
Now working on Jared Diamond's Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed. I also have John Adams by David McCullough in process.
I'm reading Napoleon Bonaparte's biography and I must say that I am pretty impressed. This man was a true genius. And not only a military genius, but a philosophical one as well!
